OneAmerica 500 Festival, or Indianapolis mini-marathon, kicked off this morning. Again, this year the event sold out with 35,000 registrants. According to the official website, "The Mini-Marathon is the largest half-marathon in the U.S., and overall, the fifth largest running event in America."
Following the race the public is welcome to attend the 500 Festival Post Race Party at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. There will be food, drinks and free performances by local bands.
