Peepli [Live] Movie Review : Great movie on social issue

Intelligent films come once in a decade and break all records. Aamir Khan’sPeepli [Live] is assumed to be that film. Some people have compared Peepli [Live] with Satyajit Ray’sPather Panchali. Peepli [Live] is also being touted as one of the greatest social issue movie to hit Indian Cinema after a long time.

Peepli [Live] was screened for a select reviewers in Mumbai, a day before its release and it seems that this film has hit jackpot. Based of the social issue on farmers suicide cases in India, the film is also expected to do well at the box office.

Even “Star of the Millennium” Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan are much impressed by Peepli [Live] from Aamir Khan productions. Amitabh Bachchan said after watching the movie, “Aamir invited Jaya and myself to view his film Peepli Live and then for dinner to his house. The film took me back to my place of birth and deposited me within the distinct atmosphere of my roots, and I loved that.”

Peepli [Live] is a story of former journalist Anusha Rizvi’s views on how farmers take on suicides in India and how media and politicians tackle the issue. Also the movie has little know actors but it has received rave reviews.
