Royal marriage: Clinton's daughter weds in NY

New York, Aug 1: The long waited royal wedding of America, Bill and Hillary Clinton's daughter got married to her boyfriend in New York village of Rhinebeck on Saturday, Jul 31.

The only daughter of former President and State Secretary, Chelsea Clinton wed Marc Mezvinsky, an investment banker at Astor Courts.

"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion asChelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends," stated Bill and Hillary Clinton.

They also added, "we could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family."

For the marriage security purpose, the airspace above Rhinebeck has been closed for 12 hours on Saturday, Jul 31 and media were kept far away from the entrance to Astor Courts.

Security in the area was comparable to that surrounding state visits.

According the source, almost 500 people were invited in the marriage ceremony but the guest list did not include a very understanding President Barack Obama.

"Hillary and Bill properly want to keep this as a thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband," said Obama on Thursday, Jul 29.

He also included, "It would be tough enough to have one president at a wedding. You don't want two presidents."
