Income Tax Raids at IPL headquartes in Mumbai

Income Tax Department’s special team visited Cash flowing IPL headquarters in Mumbai. The IPL office is housed in the BCCI headquarters at Mumbai. Sources said that the raid is conducted to probe the funding of the IPL teams and the ongoing funds controversy relating to the Kochi franchise.






Sources also added to their statement that, ” The visit cannot be termed as a “survey or a search” and that it was undertaken under Section 133 (6) of the Income Tax Act which pertains to the power to call for information. The team also sought some documents.



Meanwhile, IPL commissioner rushed to the IPL headquarters after the IT Survey.
